Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme

This week's Top Ten Tuesday topic? Top 10 Bookish Things I'd Like to Own. Well, this is going to be bloody hard to do without pictures! Okay, I lied - there's pictures!! Courtesy of Pinterest! So let's get started!
Book Side Table. I want this so, so, so, so, so unbelievably bad! I love the side table I have for my library right now, but this! Nothing can rival this! This piece of pure genius! It's just - good heavens, just look at it!
Book Necklaces. They're adorable!!!!! I bet that's real paper, too, so if you were really pressed for a place to write an urgent note down, you could always use one of these! Seriously, though, aren't they just cute?
Book Jewelry Box. As if I don't have enough jewelry boxed already. But I don't have this one! And how can a book-lover/jewelry-lover not have a book jewelry box?
"Reading Is My Super Power" Mug. Because everyone should have one of these - especially we Readers who really do seem to have reading as a super power. I mean, we push through 600+ pages in a day - don't tell me that isn't a super power!
Book Pillows. Seriously, as soon as I have time and have convinced my sewing machine that we should be friends, and not mortal enemies, I'm making these. These are too adorable and wonderful and - I want a bunch of them. And put my favorite book titles on the the front.
"Today I'm Reading. . . ." Mugs. I did actually see some of these once - I believe at a World Market store. And I'm not sure why I didn't buy one, because clearly I NEED ONE OF THESE! Maybe then people will stop interrupting what it is I'm reading and just look at my mug!
"I'm not to be trusted in a bookstore with a credit card" button. And that is precisely why I don't have my own credit card. I'm serious. If I did, I would be so up to my eyeballs in debt, because sure - I have a limit, but guess what - I'd spend that limit, and then I'd set myself and higher limit - and a higher and a higher and a higher - I've got a problem.
Beautiful Bookmarks. Because one simply cannot have too many bookmarks, and these are just gorgeous. I must have them. I must! Must, must, must.
Green Leather Book Bag. I cannot even begin to tell you how much I want this book bag. With the clasp and the straps and the beautiful green color . . . . The only thing it's missing is a shoulder strap. But I think I could live with that, given how lovely it is.
Bookish Tea Cup. I collect tea cups, so of course I need a bookish tea cup. It's so cute!

- Grab the book you're currently reading.
- Flip to a random page.
- Select two phrases from that page!
"Well!" she exclaims, her whiskery eyebrows inch-worming their way across her forehead. "You are in a conundrum," says she. When I squint at her, she explains that it means puzzle - a bit of a pickle. "For you're going to need quite a lot more money than that! Not to mention the proper documents. Have you got your papers?"
West of the Moon by Margi Preus, pg. 119

ReplyDeleteGreat list! I have the Super Power mug on mine as well. Must buy it! I adore the side table. I can't think of any piece of furniture better than that!
ReplyDeleteIt'd be the perfect side table for a library.
DeleteVery cool bookish items! And not to worry. I'm sure you and the sewing machine will work out your differences...eventually. ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's been eight years and the sewing machine still wants to murder me. Okay, it did cooperate when I made my book bag. But now it hates me again.
DeleteThe reading mugs are a great idea and probably a fun diy project :)

I'm pretty sure World Market sells them, but I do know that the next time I see one, I'm buying it.
