The Reading Hedgehog is back! A lot of you probably noticed that I put up a book haul yesterday. But now I am officially back! OH MY GOSH, I MISSED MY BLOG!!! I DON'T WANT TO TAKE A BREAK EVER AGAIN!! What does it say about me as a person that I had to force myself to take a month-long break from blogging, and kinda hated every moment of it? Probably that I am obsessive-compulsive and would work myself into the ground if given the opportunity.
Anyway, I have got quite the month of posts in store for you all! I read a lot of awesome books in September, and if you haven't been keeping up with me on Goodreads or Shelfari, then you're probably anxious to know what I thought of these books! Don't worry - you're going to find out. Not only that, but I have two author events to blog about! In September, I not only got to meet Lauren Oliver, but James Dashner as well! Undignified screaming commence. ;-) No, I'm pretty sure I got that out of my system finally. . . .mostly. . . .okay, maybe I'm still on a high about meeting him. But it was just way too cool. It was a last-minute tour, and I'm being totally honest when I say that out of all the authors I've met, he was one of the awesomest. So it was pretty cool.
I'm also going to have my Books to Movies review of The Maze Runner up very soon. I actually contemplated breaking my promise and posting it the day after I went and saw the movie. I saw it at a midnight showing, and . . . well, just wait for the review. I'll just say that it's the best book-to-movie adaption I've seen in a loooong time - and definitely the best one of the year. And, I confess, I went and saw it more than once in theaters. Totally worth the hype!
So there's some cool stuff lined up for The Reading Hedgehog world and its readers for October! It's good to be back, and I'm looking forward to getting into the swing of everything again! The break, while torturous, was also very much restorative. I got my energy back and sorted out some personal life things that needed to be sorted. And considering I ended up bruising my tail bone during my break, it's a doubly good thing I chose September to take a break from blogging. Because believe you me, I didn't feel like doing anything during that time, except sleeping.
See you tomorrow, people, with a new Waiting on Wednesday, and then look out on Thursday for my Books to Movies review of The Maze Runner!

Welcome back! It sounds like the time off was much needed. I may have to do something similar depending on how LSAT studying goes.
ReplyDeleteIt was very much needed - especially after I bruised my tailbone.
