But as I told Hazel, I heard somewhere the Myrda (yes, I know I spelled that wrong) is loosely based off of Maeve.Mara A.https://www.blogger.com/profile/00484574814523220378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5762123704887495795.post-28386928270191530022013-12-04T17:14:17.848-08:002013-12-04T17:14:17.848-08:00Thanks; I thought it looked promising, too. I've been waiting for Esther Friesner to try her hand at an Irish princess, so I'm excited. :)Mara A.https://www.blogger.com/profile/00484574814523220378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5762123704887495795.post-25750053402763037842013-12-04T17:12:21.930-08:002013-12-04T17:12:21.930-08:00That's what I love about Esther's books; s...That's what I love about Esther's books; she writes very strong female protagonists without giving them the Attitude. They are totally believable for the time period and situations. Just don't start with her SPIRIT'S PRINCESS/SPIRIT'S CHOSEN duology because it's slower and the protagonist isn't her best.Mara A.https://www.blogger.com/profile/00484574814523220378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5762123704887495795.post-50420654651750301352013-12-04T12:40:43.007-08:002013-12-04T12:40:43.007-08:00Glad I'm not the only one getting "Brave&...Glad I'm not the only one getting "Brave" flashbacks from that cover and summary. ;)Kelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00938626223222252300noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5762123704887495795.post-55893350193771527812013-12-04T11:49:30.894-08:002013-12-04T11:49:30.894-08:00Deception's Princess looks promising. As long as their not too feminist. I don't know as much about Maeve's story as I would like to so I'm excited to read this book. And Esther Friesner always does such a good job taking famous princesses from history/legend and writing good duologies about them. You should also read her NOBODY'S PRINCESS/NOBODY'S PRIZE duology and the SPHINX'S PRINCESS/SPHINX'S QUEEN duology.Mara A.https://www.blogger.com/profile/00484574814523220378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5762123704887495795.post-33736868001438767932013-12-04T04:02:53.620-08:002013-12-04T04:02:53.620-08:00"Deception's Princess" kind of sound..."Deception's Princess" kind of sounds mysterious akin to "Brave" lol :P Although it does sound very good and I'll probably give it a try.
